A WHOLE STORY.
This incarnation belongs to the same anime-original branch as GT Goku. His role develops through the threats facing Earth, including the Baby conflict and the Shadow Dragons. His eventual Super Saiyan 4 appearance is one of that branch’s defining late-series images.
Vegeta’s transformation allows him to join Goku in creating Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta. It should not be used as evidence that his Super manga counterpart has already acquired the form. The distinct profile preserves the GT costume, silhouette, and context together.
