A WHOLE STORY.
Future Gohan is a distinct timeline counterpart, not a later transformation of the Gohan seen at the Cell Games. The future side story and its television adaptation give his relationship with Trunks a central role, while the details of Trunks’ own awakening differ between versions.
His Super Saiyan identity is officially recognized in character releases. The scarred face and damaged fighting uniform communicate the cost of a long struggle. Ultimate and Beast belong to another Gohan’s later story and are not assigned to this counterpart.
