A WHOLE STORY.
Future Trunks is Vegeta and Bulma’s son from a parallel history devastated by the Androids. His mission brings warning, medicine, and a second Super Saiyan to the heroes’ world. Training with Vegeta later teaches him that maximum muscle is not the same as effective fighting power.
His Super appearances return to the question of protecting a vulnerable future. The Rage state is specific to the anime presentation. This entry keeps it distinct from his manga development and from the very different life of present-day Trunks.
