01 / 06THE CHANGING SHAPE OF POWER
A STORY.
A NEW PERSPECTIVE.
The Saiyan conflict changes what Goku knows about his own origin. Namek then expands the struggle beyond Earth, bringing Vegeta, the heroes, and Frieza into a shared search for the Dragon Balls. Goku’s Super Saiyan awakening turns an inherited legend into a personal breakthrough.
For a visual study, follow the contrast between small figures and vast landscapes. Armor communicates the Saiyan past, while Goku’s damaged orange uniform keeps his Earth-trained identity visible. The first golden transformation works because it changes the character against a world the audience already understands.

01 AN ARTIST’S VIEW
LOOK CLOSER.
SEE THE DESIGN.
Original visual study notes. Choose one observation and try it in a drawing.
Start with scale
A small figure against a vast landscape makes the world feel consequential. Leave enough space around the character for the transformation to change the frame.
Let the color arrive
Green skies, blue water, orange cloth, and golden hair create a distinctive visual relationship. Study that relationship before adding an aura.
Keep the person visible
The uniform, expression, and stance connect the transformed fighter to the person underneath. Power becomes more compelling when character remains readable.
